Play Area

The play area has swings, a jungle gym, volleyball net and other play equipment. Children are free to play while parents remain reassured of their safety. With bicycle racks dotted about the complex, children ride around on bicycles and tricycles, making the most of their freedom of movement.

Swimming Pool

A heated swimming pool is available for all residents, as well as set timings for men, women, and families to use the facilities at their leisure.

Also designed in the Moorish style characterising the rest of the complex, the swimming area has change-room facilities making it accessible to everyone.

There are bi-weekly swimming lessons for the children of Qurtuba, so no one misses out.

Braai Area

With braai stands, picnic tables, and open lawn, the braai area at Qurtuba is a place where neighbours, families, and friends often get together.

Adjacent to the play area, the braai facilities include a convenient washing up area so you can entertain with ease.

Alhambra Hall

The Spanish-style hall is a premier venue location, that has hosted a range of functions including wedding receptions.

The hall can accommodate 450 people, with a ground floor level, and a first-floor level comprising two smaller halls.

Hall hire includes the pre-selected hall and entrance area, restrooms, tables and chairs, kitchenette, and parking area. Cleaning services are also included. A sound system and speakers are available at an additional cost. There is also a children’s play area available outside the hall.

Please note that this is a strictly halaal venue, and food and drink should be organised accordingly. Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises.

It can be prearranged to have a nikah ceremony take place at Masjid Tariq Bin Ziyad, conveniently located only metres away from the hall in Qurtuba.

Masjid Tariq bin Ziyad

Inspired by the architecture and design of Za’abeel Mosque in Dubai, construction of Masjid Tariq bin Ziyad began in Ramadan of 2015.

Named after the conqueror of Córdoba, the masjid epitomises the beautiful aesthetic elements that Muslim rule brought to Spain. With these influences of Islamic art and quiet and peaceful setting, the structure is more than just an additional amenity in the Qurtuba estate; rather, it is one of the focal points of the entire complex. It remains the centre of the estate, a place where the community comes together, and serves as a reminder of the Islamic principles which lie at the heart of the Qurtuba vision.

The masjid has capacity for a total of 430 musallees. It has ablution facilities, classrooms, and capacity for visiting jamaats, including a kitchen.

Live audio transmission from the masjid is broadcast on the Bilal Receiver channel 3.
